Violence Prevention

Project Youth Connect (1998-2002). The Family Services Agency, Inc., Gaithersburg, Maryland. Funding provided by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration/Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (SAMHSA/CSAP). Co-wrote grant proposal for mentoring program with high-risk adolescents residing in public housing (ages 9-11 years) to be part of national cross-site study. Responsible for program development, research and evaluation design, coordination of instruments and data collection for local site and for cross-site, statistical analysis, and report writing. 

Voices for Violence (2000-2002). The Mental Health Association of Montgomery County, Rockville, Maryland. Co-wrote grant proposal funded by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and implemented in partnership with local Juvenile Assessment Center and high risk local high schools. Responsibilities included program development and support of collaborative process among partners, development and implementation of research component.
